How it works#

  • Choose: select an industry topic, category explainer, buying guide, comparison or product and service question. Add up to five questions, or let Mumm suggest them from your connected pages and observed searches.
  • Support: add your firsthand expertise and up to six public HTTPS reference pages. These may be your own pages, industry research or competitors’ documentation. Mumm reads the references, drafts answers and attaches captured excerpts. Publisher expertise is labeled separately.
  • Review: check the explanation, evidence and source excerpts in the Mumm for Business console under Answers Hub. Edit the answer while preserving its facts and comparison tables, or replace the evidence with a sourced fact. New manually requested drafts need approval. Pro and Agency add separate Autopilot settings for ongoing upkeep of supported answers.
  • Serve: approved entries become ordinary gateway documents at /answers/<slug> plus a collection index and FAQ structured data. No LLM runs at request time.

Build a useful reference for your category#

Cover the questions people ask before they know which provider to choose: how the category works, when different approaches fit, what to compare and which alternatives are worth considering. Include practical experience, original findings and sources that substantiate the answer.

For competitor comparisons, supply current references for each option and compare the same criteria. Review missing information and competing claims before publishing. Your own experience is valuable; it remains a publisher perspective, not independent endorsement.

Open “Create answers about your industry, category or business” to submit a brief. You can make up to three requests per site per day. If a reference cannot be read, replace it and submit a revised brief. Existing answers stay unchanged, and retries of the same request do not create a second batch.

Clear, useful content gives assistants a source to consult. Inclusion in an AI answer depends on the assistant and question; publishing an Answers Hub does not guarantee citations. Where a question calls for independent authority, reviews, research and other external coverage still matter.

Where answers serve from#

Managed publishing sends the authorized set to the connected gateway. The publishing result and Autopilot delivery check record whether the expected answer is live. Self-hosted sites retrieve the approved set through the export API and wire it as ordinary document sources.

WordPress sites import instead of fetching: the plugin never pulls answers from us, so you download the export below and paste it into Settings → Rebilder answers (plugin 0.2.0+). It then serves /answers locally, markdown for agents, an HTML page for people, FAQ structured data for both, and each entry stops serving when its freshness window lapses until you re-import.

The export API#

Authenticate with the site API key from Settings in the Mumm for Business console. Approved entries only, drafts never leave the review queue.

Fetch your approved answers
curl https://api.rebilder.com/v1/answers \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $REBILDER_API_KEY"

The response carries the raw entries and ready-to-wire gateway shapes: a collection for /answers and one document per entry (with provenance), so a build step can drop them straight into your gateway config:

Response shape
{
  "domain": "shop.example.com",
  "contentSha256": "…",
  "answers": [{ "slug": "…", "question": "…", "answer": "…", "groundings": […] }],
  "collection": { "url": "https://shop.example.com/answers", "items": […] },
  "documents": [{ "path": "/answers/…", "source": { /* DocumentSource */ } }]
}

Availability#

Answers is included with Insights for one site, Pro for three sites and Agency for every included or additional site. Insights lets you generate, review and publish answers yourself. Pro and Agency add Autopilot for scheduled checks and automatic upkeep under your settings. See plans and prices, or open Console → Answers Hub. Serving is never gated: approved answers keep serving until their TTL lapses even if the plan or the extra sites are cancelled, and a self-hoster can hand-write the same document shapes for free.
